HAHA.. the above comment is hideous... I never "chicken wing" you know me. Practical shooting all the way. stick that elbow out in "real" combat and see what happens more likely to be bumped on something and take away your field of view or portions of it. simply "NASTY".. National match habits irritate the crap out of me. KHUDD OUT!!

Someone needs to show that little boy how to hold his gun correctly.That right elbow needs to be up not down. If he holds it up, it gives him more control and won't hurt as much if there's a kick. Doesn't look like it has a kick, though. See how long its been since I've fired a rifle. If he keeps up he'll be a crack shot and get all kinds of medals as a Marine. My son did. Top shooter in his company!!!! Time after time. Always be with him, teach him respect for the firearm, its NOT a TOY.

He is doing threat drills not National match shooting so no need to "chicken wing".
It's an AR-15 with a .22 kit in it so, no kick.
His Dad (me) his Grand Father and Great Grandfather are all three Marines so, I can only hope.
He knows its not a toy, we follow the four rules even with a BB gun.
The AppleSeed project next year will teach him national match shooting and the dreaded "Chicken Wing".
