Let's Play a Knuckles' Chaotix Beta/Prototype: 120794 Part 1

This is the earliest available build for Chaotix, from Dec. 7, 1994.

I mistakenly claimed it was the 27 build, which is WRONG!! This is from 20 days earlier!!

It's different from other builds in many ways.

The ROM header says Knuckles' Ringstar, and apparently art that says "Sonic Crackers 32X" has been found in the game, demonstrating Crackers' legitimacy. Unfortunately, I don't have any good way to show you that the way I've recorded these videos, so you'll have to take my word for it.

How did you get this game to work? I have it and Kega 3.6 with fast 32x timing turned on, but all i get is a black screen, also i got the edited version of kega made for this rom and it STILL dont work, yet all of the ones post 1207 do.....

@Slayerfan777 I had to toggle the reset a few times to get it to work -- this is using the slightly edited version, I think. If that doesn't work, try the normal version. In any case, it IS a pretty delicate procedure.

@THEmuteKi Yea, I figured it out after I saw someone mention it on a forum, apparently from what i've gathered, Mighty was supposed to be Sonic and ********** was supposed to be Tails, I wonder why they were removed?

so they were basically doing the worst thing you could do: develop beta software on beta hardware
