yes your right. i have 2 crt projectors, one i am selling on ebay with new screen.
2030qm i am selling. the one i use is a 720p/1080i ecp4500. beautifull picture with no video noise. looks like the cinema. I play the imax prologue sequence in hd from the dark knight. its on batman begins bluary extras.
Digitals are impressive in regards to ansi values. basically light reflected back to viewer. but the absolute on/off values aren't close.
i'll post videos when i get hold of good cam

Thanks.
I would be very thankful if you could post a video showing standard DVD via component, or HD/BluRay DVD via HDMI because I would hook it to my DVD or Xbox 360.

In this video I am playing 720p Quicktime trailer & the pc is outputting 1280x720 which is the resolution of the Quicktime file.
-
Thanks, but what I mean is:
What's the resolution of the video you are playing?
the source is the PC, right?

Just an update if anyone cares... I just got myself one of these projectors and the picture is awesome for the price. its got awesome detail. im very happy with it.
i suggest for under a thousand you look at a excellent condition crt projector. You'll get much longer life span with 10x contrast, 10x lifespan, higher colour palette, absolute black. and more.
Crt is bright but its more like a laser it doesn't thow much light. if lightoutput is really important then maybe a digital but a good crt quite bright.

I agree a good HD crt projector looks better though if It's a 3 crt system, Most all of the good ones are. Then they are usually only practical for a permanent installation because you have to carefully adjust them each time you set them up. Convergence etc.

It's just a much higher quality version of the youtube video. Search google for "Rapidshare Resident Evil" & you should find a few good sites hosting links to download the movie ;-)
