http://www.sitmeanssit.com This was taken at a 'live' event in Pueblo Colorado with Fred Hassen. Various dogs were brought out of the audience, never before seen by any of the Sit Means Sit staff in attendance, and in front of everyone remarkable changes were seen using the Sit Means Sit remote training system.

This video shows the beginning of one of the demonstration where a family was pulled out of the audience to feel the Sit Means Sit remote dog training collar. We always pull people of various ages out, so people can just see that it is adjustable and everyone feels things differently as do individual dogs. There is no such thing as a 'high' level, or a 'low' level as you will see demonstrated in this video. What is 'high' to one person, may not be 'high' to someone else etc.

Children are usuallly brought out because they have no preconceived notion of what they are about to feel, so you usually get a fairer analysis. Sit Means Sit dog training is the largest and most successful U.S. based dog training company in the history of the United States and does demonstrations daily in public settings.

  • Hey Fred! I'm a client of Sit means Sit here in Texas and I have to say that my trainer has opened my eyes to a whole new level of dog training and thanks to you guys my pit bull is one of the most well behaved dogs in the city. (I oive in a small town and go to the dog park a lot) :)

  • @regric25 Outstanding! Sounds like you are awesome at following instruction. Now take the ball and run with it!

  • Say what you want, but why the hell can't you guys train a dog through reinforcement instead of aversion. The fact that it works so much more quickly than reward should prove the point that it is punishment. You're all a bunch of masochists for this. I've seen dogs just as obedient (albeit it took a little longer) without causing them any pain (or "muscle stimulation" as you call it).

  • @420squeeg You use a leash every day with variable intensity. I understand it is hard for you to get by the 'emotional' part that this is adjustable also. You really should educate yourself more.

  • @salford08 Yes, and you try running barefoot in the snow for 2 hours and see how far you get. 2 different species. Ever watched an adult dog pick his baby up by the neck with his teeth and carry him across the room? Puppy never makes a peep. Ever watched an adult pick up a puppy by the scruff of neck to pick them up? You wouldn't pick up a human baby that way......they'd be screaming. Ever watched 2 dogs play biting each other on the neck? Stick your finger in there.

  • @K9EtiquetteSchool Yes, I'm sure these same people certainly wouldn't let their 5 month old child go outside naked in the winter and run around barefoot in the snow like they do their puppy either. A lot of people just can't get past their mentality that it's some torture device. It's an adjustable muscle stimulator, much like a chiropractor's tens unit that is also adjustable, and is used to alleviate pain, not to cause it and years of medical history to back that up.

  • @fredhassen - That is basically the point I was trying to make, you worded it much better than I did though. I've seen a lot of your videos. And like I said, the body language of the dogs is never intimidation and if the corrections were "painful" or "negative" then the dogs would be intimidated or fearful. I just started the youtube scene so I only have a couple videos up, hopefully I'll have hundreds up within the next few days so be sure to keep checking back!

  • @K9EtiquetteSchool Levels are unique to human individual perceptions, which would be different for everyone.

It would be the same as me asking you what level leash tug you use........your definition of 'clean' is different than your wifes because of us being individuals. In any case........bottom line is that I have over 700 videos and you are welcome to see what the dogs look like. I will take a look at your videos of your dogs also.

  • @fredhassen - True, they also need to criticize the wild/stray dogs that instinctively communicate by nipping other dogs necks. People need educated on how dogs communicate, and communicating to them in ways that they understand rather than confusing gimmicks. @cfiidan - Not sure how you use the collar Fred, but we always set the collar to a setting they can feel but isn't painful and based off your dogs body language, they don't seem intimidated (pain response) vs respect (proper "correction")

  • @salford08 - Wearing the collar around your neck wouldn't be very accurate neither. A dogs neck is nowhere near the same anatomy as ours. Ours only hold our heads straight and has tight skin, a dogs neck not only holds their head at an angle but also keeps their spine in line (similar to what our lower backs do) plus they have a thick layer (almost a padding aka scruff) of skin naturally designed to be carried and "corrected" through canine instincts. -Vet Tech, Profession Dog Trainer
