who the hell is playing that awful keyboard? Typical of almost all of Townes' records - no one had the grace or vision to just let him play. Live at the old quarter is the best thing he ever put out because there's nobody else there ruining his performance.

its not even off key, he doesn't sing so much as sigh, notes between notes. Singing is for those with a point to prove. I think I understand where Townes was coming from very well

the more i listen to this, the lower my jaw hangs....townes just adds so much more emotion to tom thumbs blues than i've heard in dylan's version. i like dylan, nashville skyline, john wesley harding, blood on the tracks, new morning, great albums, dont get me wrong....but townes just nails this

couldn't have said it better myself. something about his music, his words...its indescribable. he'll lift you up to soaring heights, and break your heart all at once, absolutely amazing
