  • No, I haven't played banjo at all. I used to play classical guitar though. Martin Simpson is quite influenced by banjo styles, so it probably comes from the song.

  • What tuning are you using?

  • CGCGCD bottom to top. Also called Csus2. It compares to dadgad like D-open compares to G-open.
