Is that a machete?

no, Byrnzi360, just an Old Hickory 10" Butcher. Will cut saplings though! -BBQ Pit Boys

I made this soup last week. It was excellent. My wife loved it. The only problem was the onion's were a little crunchy. I cooked the soup for 2 hours @230-250 degrees.

hey foolinjected101, this is a real hardy onion soup, for sure -a meal in itself. To get a softer onion, grill the onions longer, cut 'em up in smaller pieces, and simmer the soup longer to get the desired texture. Our recipe in this vid is for onion fanatics who believe eating on a big 'ol onion sandwich ranks right up there with a bbq grilled burger -BBQ Pit Boys

This is a good recipe. BTW, is that a machete you are using?

hey T850CSM101a1676, it's a Old Hickory 10" carbon steel butchers knife. Great balance, heavy enough for chopping, and you can't buy a better edge. This one is about 70-80 years old, but you still can buy them new. -BBQ Pit Boys
