i hope everyone knows that your ecu in your car only lets a certian amount of air in without tunning.. so before ya decide to spend 100s of dollars and only get a couple extra horses.. invest in a perfomance chip... i got a volo performance chip and it does good for the price...

@ATPillz cold air intakes are better. cooler air is better for increased horsepower. short rams are more warm to hot air because its so close to the engine it draws heat so it takes around 5-10 horsepower away.

Nice red cover, wnt to do that on my 96

U snapped i have the same car and model cant find how u did this

is cold air intake better then short ram/warm air intake or its the other way around?
-
how much did u pay for this intake? and where did u buy it from

Thats not even a ram air setup. all that is is a cone filter installed in the engine compartment, nothing more, and to get the sensor to work correctly, it needs to be installed inline, take it from a nissan mechanic, you will suffer mileage and HP problems. put a shield around it to diect the cold air from the original bumper pipe into and it should worka little better

honestly all cold air intakes are the same if you buy the $50 one from ebay or the $200 from injen all your paying for is a name the point of a cold air intake is to have smooth straight piping so it doesnt interupt the air flow so in my opinion an ebay buy and some stickers are your best bet no one will kno lol
First of all that's not a cold air intake it's a short ram/warm air intake. A cai on the 1st gen altima goes down into the space in the bumper under the battery.
As far as the sensor you can simply let it sit inside the cone or just near the filter.

yea what altimajunkie said.BTW This altima got totalled on april but i just bought a black 96 altima haha and i already put the short ram on my new altima and my new one has that sensor to but i think it just reads the humidity in the air so i just mounted it with one of the ring clips and it works fine
