  • I know Princess Anne cannot inheirit the throne of England because she has three brothers - all of whom have children who outrank her position to the throne...it would be wonderful if this were not the case, because of all of Elizabeth's children - Anne is the most worthy and best-equipped for this kind of leadership and commitment. Sadly though, the throne does not go to the one most worthy of it - but is going to go to the one least worthy of this position!

  • In reponse to several queries about why I chose "Beauty & The Beast" song to accompany these images of Princess Anne...the reason is simply that I love the melody of this song, and also because Anne is a very unique royal. She can and has upon occassion acted or spoken "beastly", but at the same time she can and has often been incredibly kind and caring. Also - if you refer to the story "Beauty & The Beast" - in the end the "beast" wasn't beastly at all...

  • Princess Anne is a very complex woman and royal leader who has a tremendous depth of character and integrity which is incredibly rare in today's society - in all walks of life.

  • Princess Anne is both beautiful and compassionate - but she is also very forthright and takes no guff from anyone. She is as tough as she is compassionate - hence why I think Beauty & The Beast is a perfect accompaniment to these images of her.

  • And on a slightly differnt note, I want to add that I wish Pinrcess Anne could become the next Queen of England, for she is, in my opinion, the only offspring of Queen Elizabeth II, who is not only worthy of this leadership, but who would carry on her mother's reign with the respect and worthwhile accomplishments her mother and grandparents have earned.

  • That was great to watch

  • Can anyone else see that she looks like Prince William

  • That was lovely to watch.

    ;)

  • Well done. She is a very hard working person and while blunt a lovely lady. Lovely photos Don't we wish we had her figure Frugal too. She can wear clothes she had 20 years ago!

  • @kathy1964a You know, I didn't think much of Princess Anne until I got the opportunity to meet her when she came here to Bermuda-which is a British territory. She was not what I expected at all! She didn't seem stuffy at all, and was actually softer-spoken than I thought and almost shy. She met our Brownie troop and was really nice to everyone...she was asking the mums if any of us had been Brownies as children and seemed really interested. it really changed my opinion of her...

  • What a marvelous Princess! I love and admire her! Beauty, intelligence, genuine cheerfulness and good sense, kindness, compassion, strength -- the Princess Royal has all these good qualities and many more. A hard-core, kick-ass lady. A real Princess!

  • The Princess Royal is an amazing woman. A true Princess by birth and not through marriage.

This is a delightful tribute to a woman who has helped raise millions for her charitable causes, and she has done it with charm and authority.

  • I am American but I share your belief that Princess Anne would be the best successor.

  • Anne is currently tenth in line to the thrones of 16 countries. She is resident in and most directly involved with the United Kingdom, the oldest realm, while also carrying out duties in and on behalf of the other states of which her mother is sovereign.
