Ya know what is strange is a my Craig "720P" TV that, which really has a bit higher resolution, will work with HDMI 1080P with both Y Pb Pr and RGB signals, but when you try to use a Geforce 3 card with DVI to HDMI, it will only display up to 720P, and the 720P image is too zoomed in looking.

You won't be able to do 1080p cause the TV doesn't support it. 1080i does a lot of blurring and has less lines than 720p so in general 720p will be the better choice.
I keep my PS3 on 1080i just for the smaller text and icons on the XMB. When I play games the PS3 outputs in 720p.
Does the tv have any flicker at all? please answer. Thank you

@perrysmovie Flicker? Any LCD TV with flicker must be faulty. No flicker here after about 14 months of use.

Hey mcfione you should try to get a 1080p hdmi cable for your ps3 I got one for my pc which is hdmi to dvi and it gives me full 1080p gaming might be the same for the ps3 :)

All compliant HDMI cables will be able to send 1080p signals. Its the TV that can't display at 1080p.
