  • @theKARSE the "Nilpferd" is also called "Flusspferd", that's probably where your "flod-hest" comes from ;-)

  • haha.. wanna know how much the danish words for these animals are alike the german woords?? elefant = elefant , giraffe = giraf , löwe = løve , hyäne = hyæne , gepard = gepard , nashorn = næsehorn , nil-pferd = flod-hest , krokodil = krokodille , zebra = zebra , büffel = bøffel .. the german words are not hard at all to memorize if you're a dane :)

  • Nilpferd ist gut gesprochen ;), aber auch hier kann man hinzufügen, das einige Wörter da Komposita sind, zusammengesetzte Substantive, wie das Nashorn oder eben das Nilpferd, Nase + Horn = Nashorn, man sagt auch zu Nilpferd-Flusspferd, Fluss + Pferd = Flusspferd...usw.;)
