@IllyriaArberor Hellenes are not a nation or an ethnicity. This is Truth not fact. Hellenes is a collective pool of an "acceptance" of nations, philosophy, cultures and traditions. Also the unity of language. Hellenes are a result of a 6,000 year assimilation going back to Pelasgians. Albanians are Arvanites and Tsam..... no more, no less! Is it possible to have connection to Greeks and Illyrians? 100% possible! The divisions were religion and communism.

if we really want to be honest, we should both observe the fact that greeks and Albanians both came largely from old hellens and illyrians(Epirots, macedonians etc)

the modern greek alphabet was borrowed and adopted from the ancient Hellenic script, which in turn was taken from Phoenician. this does not show any type of concrete evidence for greeks being descendants of hellens. plus, Hellenism was just an idea and a way of living, they were not a single tribe from which the modern greeks came from. we have historical records from Ptolemy and others which describes the Albanoi tribe of Illyrians, but we have no records of the "greek" tribe of the Hellens

@SamsonElitsa do you have any kind of evidence or proof that Albanians are not the illyrians? if you want to live in the dark, that is fine with me, but dont try to tell us that greeks are from ancient hellens, greeks are livig the exact opposite mentality from ancient hellens.

the Albanian ties to Illyrians is much stronger i would say then the modern greek ties to ancient hellens.

Genetically is out since we do not have theirs. Culturally it is out since modern culture is so different. Leaves language and alphabet...... What I am saying is what Greeks and Albanians are avoiding. Albanians tie to Illyrians does not exist, but I believe Albanians tie to Greeks is Great.
