Had little time to do this recording so nothing was prepared just played and this is what came out. Each drum was miked plus a couple of 414's as OH. Recorded by my good friend Tony Forman and mixed and synced by me.

  • Fucken niice!!

  • @killu626 if you listen at 4:50 with decent phones when its just hats and kick i think the bass drum sounds sounds pretty good, low and resonant. but, each to their own

  • hey man, before your vids, i HATEDDD mapex. hated them. now, i gained a good amount of respect for them. the only thing i didnt like was the sound of the bass drums, theres no fundimental pitch. but everything else was really good. i'd like to hear back from you, what are your views on the kit and all that?

    cheers, Mike

  • Amazing! How do you make the toms sound that deep and basy? And how do you tune and mic the snare? I'm thinking of buying a Mapex Black Panther kit and micing it just like you.

  • Simply Amazing! How to you make the toms sound that bassy and deep? I'm thinking of buying a Mapex Black Panther kit and miking it like you do.
