  • hey i told my mum that i was lesbian in like a really casual way and she didnt say anything or do anything. that was about 4 months ago and shes still telling me that "when you get married to a guy you love..." and all that. i guess i dunno what i should do about it. she might be ignoring it or just thinking that im being stupid. what should i do???

  • @gemmaclair1 -- If I were in your position I would just let it be. she's not making you do anything or think anything you don't want to do or think. I'd say that sounds fine. Problems may arise when you are about 30 and you continue to date women and it finaly starts to sink in for her. but for now just roll with it :)

  • I'm scared to tell me parents...I mean I know my dad is a little homophobic but I'm not sure about my mom.. My parents are split so I'm not sure if they would kick me out

  • @HalleLovesPocky : If your dad is a little Homophobic he might be a lot homophobic when it comes to his daughter. My dad has nothing against gay people but he freaked out when he found out about me. If you are thinking them kicking you out is a possibility don't say anything. If you haven't graduated High School yet I always suggest concentrating on school while doing some dating nothing serious then when you're older it's better to tell them.

  • I can barely hear your voice over the background music... waaay to damn loud... Thanks for sharing anyway.

  • @dcampbell84 --- haha yea I've gotten that comment before I have since learned how to control the volume. thank you :)

  • I think all us Biz and Lesbians have difficulties talking to our parents.......

I find it hard to tell my parents because their very ago ppl

  • I just told my mom I'm bi today.

I'm 12 and so she told me to wait a few years to see I am or not.

I feel so stupid for saying that, because I have a boyfriend.

So really, unless I was dating a girl I didn't need to.

    God I'm an idiot...

  • My mum and Dad always say they'd be fine if I was bi . But they tend to change their opinion a lot. and It's awkward considering I now have a girlfriend. it's got a lot harder..

  • Well, I'm a lesbian and I haven't told my parents yet. I am too scared to tell them. My dad likes to make joins about gay people and call them names, for that reason I am scared to tell them, I wish it was easier to tell parents about this stuff, Have any idea of how I should tell them?

  • @Dracbloody I think it alot of times does not have to do with age, it just depends on the parents... I told my mom I was lesbian when i turned 15 (like 3 months ago), and she told my dad to come and and talk about it. It ended pretty bad, my parents basically will not even let me speak to them about it, or talk about it with my friends. I personally think theyr'e homophobic. Long story cut short, i'd advise you to wait... Seriously. I regret not waiting longer because now things are rocky here

  • I recently told my mom I was bisexual and I was dating my best friend in the world and she told me she was "a mother in denial". I couldn't believe it. And as soon as I get back from a trip my mothers gonna bash me up. Big time.

  • How do I approach it? I already met this wonderful girl (not really, she was my friend for about 2 years and I confessed 1.5+ years ago) and we're doing a long distance relationship. I face disowning and discrimination from my 2 brothers and my mom the most. I faced child abuse a lot during 10-early 13 year old.

  • I have extreme difficulty talking to my parents about being a lesbian since I'm 13 so they will probably just be like, "oh, she'll grow out of it." And I know my father won't like it, but he will accept it. Most likely, my mother will freak, and quite possibly beat me with the vacuum just like when I was young.

  • wow can u go with me i want to be a lesbian your fine lily lesbian!!!

  • ill never be able to tell my g maw (I live with her) shes the most homophobic person i know, if she ever finds out im bi shel kick me out for shure
