How many hall of fame blue liners did Roy had with the Habs compared to Marty? Niedemyer (sorry for spelling it wrong) left for Califorina to join his brother, Stevens retired is now in the Hall and a rock solid defenceman in Daneyko retired. Since then, Marty not even once went past the second round. Sure Marty is great, but not as great as Roy.

@8kcht3 Lol, I respect him more now cause he's been getting the shutouts just my mere will like Sawchuck did, now I can try that that one. Pound for pound, Sawchuck went through more to be the best then those two, no pun intended. May have been in another era, but you can explain the same for Bobby Orr on defence, Kharlamov, Richard, Lemieux, Gretzky etc...

First off, 4 cups for Roy, Marty 3 cups. I don't care if Califorina is spelled wrong, as long as it's not spelled Carolina. If you could still tell the difference between the two (which you do) then that's all that matters.

So you're telling me that Marty was responsible for winning the gold when he had a stacked team infront of him with the likes of Scott N., Mario, Sakic, Pronger etc...we're talking abt money goalies, not forwards, not which state you're thinking of.
