The Conversion of St. Paul, and the Resurrection of Lazarus, are two of Caravaggios most beautiful works. For the first time these two masterpieces can be seen together in an art exhibit in Rome commemorating the 400th anniversary of the artists death.

Its worth seeing them together and comparing the Virgin of Retalbo of the Palafrieneri, that is normally here because it was bought by the cardinal of Villa Borghese, and the Virgin of the Pilgrims, that is normall at the Church of St. Augustine in Rome.

Caravaggios Denial of St. Peter, normally housed in New Yorks Metropolitan museum, will also be on display, as well as The portrait of Antonio Martelli, whose home is at the Pitti Palace in Florence.

Caravaggio died at the young age of 38. His genius allowed him to recreate some of the most captivating moments of the Gospel on canvas.

Through his art, Caravaggio shows us a revolutionary style of painting by capturing the moments hes trying to depict. He revolutionized the way of painting the spoken word.

Along with Caravaggios art pieces by Francis Bacon will also be on display to commemorate his 100th birthday. These pieces are housed in Londons Tate Gallery and Norways Modern Art Museum. Two very different ways of capturing the same human emotions evoked by art.
