@chipchippies Too true. I really don't know if the way the band has followed is bad or wrong, but the two first discs just blow me up. When I listen to Med Sum, the music is still great, but not as magic as this stuff. Too indie perhaps, I can't avoid missing their minimalism and musical complexity of before.
Sigur Rós' Hún Jörð. Our mother, who art in earth hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on us as it is in you as you send thy angels every day send them to us as well and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against you and lead us not into sickness but deliver us from evil because yours is the earth and the body and the health
they have progressed the way they see fit. I am not disappointed with the direction they went in. They have never let me down. Each album is excellent.
@chipchippies I disagree - yes VON is a great album, but Takk is great as are all of the others. Sigur Ros, like many great artists, are not content with reproducing the same sound over and over and over and over- instead, they produce unique and innovative music that differs - I would be very sad if Sigur Ros remade VON over and over and missed out on their other greats -
i think it's really sad that sigur ros has basically turned their backs on the concepts behind the album of Von. for a first album, they showed a great understanding of how their unique vocals could work on a somewhat ambient album. while i do enjoy what sigur ros has become, it's sad to see a band with so much promise stray away from what i love. great video by the way, it is a perfect use of a very interesting movie.
I like the movie. I like the song. This comment is a little experiment I've been working on for a while.

If I am right, these tracks came from a remix album. I think it's remixes from Von. The english name for the album is recycle bin :D

Nice job. But you just CAN'T add Leit ad Lifi without Myrkur. Those belong together.
