  • Sterlo's first grade debut - at fullback !!

  • @Nuncal correct and while still at school at Fairfield Patrician Brothers where he came on a scholarship in 1978. I think this was the only first grade game he ever played at fullback.

  • Gartner had jet shoes, he ran like a sprinter as well, great footage. How fast did that make Larry Corowa then?

  • Geez Gartner was quick. Nice kick to Eadie's face by Price as well. I remember his picture in League Week the following week. Huge black eye. It was great to win the premiership that year after a semi final replay & a grand final replay. No wonder everyone hated us, we were soooo good lol

  • This is legendary for me. Not just the Johnny Peard bomb, the Ray Price king hit on Graeme Eadie and that Manly won. Just check the trainer with the magic sponge taking Wombat (Eadie) off the field, sponge to his claret-flowing head. That's my daddy, George. He's a legend. Peter Phelps.

  • 2:36 fullback taken out of play. no video ref looking at it for 10 mins in those days
