Mormonism is akin to secular scientology in that they both have a skewed Latria:
one would think, and according to gospel tradition, it is the poor and disenfranchised whom shall inherit the earth. god perhaps bestows the wealth as a TEST on those greedy individuals (like Joseph smith) and Beck, whom He rather disdains, which He knows that they will fail. the same goes for Mammon-worshiping America. Moreover, if it weren't for revolutions we'd all be united and after the gold as one corrupt.

Ok Christians correct me if I am wrong about Christianity, and this is coming from someone who was raised Jewish, isn't the Sabbath on Saturday? Or is your Sabbath on Sunday? Just out of curiosity, I'm not sure whether the Christian Sabbath is on Saturday or Sunday.

In its latest Health and Retirement Study, the National Institute on Aging says that 2011 is a banner year in American demographics: it's when the first Baby Boomers turn 65.
Our population is getting older and retirements are set to soar as more Americans than ever before are on the cusp of leaving the workforce. In 2010 the two magazines with the largest circulation across the U.S. were the Bulletin and Magazine of the AARP.

@chromacopy365 "Yes! You ARE a hypocrite!"
Why do I use religious SLURS and feign indignation when someone says something I do NOT like?

That bigger picture is essential to understanding who Mormons are. One religion scholar said: "Mormonism is a really complex theological system. All its parts fit together beautifully. But if you just know a little bit about one of them, or part of them, it seems weird." Yet it is these same beliefs that animate Mormons' public engagement, inspire good works and bless their interaction with family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Indeed, theirs is an enduring pursuit.

.From time to time Mormons are thrust into the public spotlight. Yet the permanent things that ground their inner lives in this changing religious landscape are often left out of the picture. The Mormon understanding of what it means to be human and to belong to the larger human family rarely finds a place in the public narrative

It's good to take one day away from the world and just be with your family. Do something together! We chase our tails most days of the week with work, kids' commitments, other demands. Saturday is often laundry, grocery shopping, and errands. That one day for family, spent really listening to what each person has to say, will draw you closer, and it's priceless.
