If you listen REAL closely, you can hear vague similarities to Vermillion City.
I wouldn't do a direct comparison, though. I'd contrast both with the Chinese pirate game version: /watch?v=mXeCDwIl4Ew

Oh man, You just don't get games like Chrono Trigger anymore. The game had so much soul and atmosphere and was simply magical. I can't help but play it with a massive smile on my face. The music was just the icing on top of a very, ver, very good cake. Mitsuda and Uematsu are both genius's. I still own this on SNES, boxed and all, and I wouldn't even sell it for any amount because it is more than a game to me.
