Hehe. I can just imagine putting thse kinds of things into a big airplane and strafing these battleships...actually, not even sure if that's possible, but sounds fun as hell. LD

@Ovanteeri - Well, it's not safe to arm R/C aircraft, not to mention the legality issues at that point. In 1/1/44 scale that our ships are in, the planes aren't big enough to keep themselves in the air against a mild breeze.

so i dont realy get it, you make a boat and you shoot it with air guns... if it sinks it has to have holes... if it has holes it can fry the engine
thats bad right? or is the engine in a bulletproof compartment?

The ships are armed with CO2 powered cannon and have bilge pumps. The ship is also all electric and the electronic boards are waterproofed so as to not glitch in the middle of battle. It only takes 30 minutes or less to pull them back up from the bottom, patch the holes and send them back out to fight again.

Yep. That bit of deck coming off right at the end of the video is the recovery float. It's attached to the hull via a nice strong line so the ship can be pulled back up from a nice dry dinghy.
