Heard a faint noise after going over some large rocks, scrapd the rocks off then dug down 3 inches to hit a block of clay. The block of clay was removed and the nugget was in the clay after breaking it open.

  • sorry about the wind on this one folks, it was very windy on this trip and hard to keep out of the microphone.

  • Nice - Amazing how good that 4500 is on the smaller stuff

Great vid >>looking forward to for the biggity nuggety upload ;-)

    Good Luck

  • me too, thanks for the comment.

  • The 4500 is brilliant if you know how to set them up, if you dont, you are in for

poor performance and headaches. With good settings and good conditions its amazing how deep it finds small stuff. This nugget was approx 5 inches underground but there was actually large rocks on top when i initally detected it. that were approx 4 inch diameter, so it was originally 8 + inch plus detection depth. Yu cant always get that though.

  • I have had good advice from a helpful experienced bloke I know who help me setup my 4500 - mate did that save me a heap of time. Its stable in hot ground but sometimes it gets tough as you say.. Its great to see people getting the yellow stuff - very enjoyable.

    Keep cool
