Yuri vaulin was my boxing coach for 3 years and was one of the best coaches I ever had. He led me to the junior olympics as a kid and tommy morrison even stated that this was the toughest fighter he ever fought and if he didn't catch him with that lucky shot he woulda lost.

Yeah, I remember this bout on the under card of the Holyfield Forman fight. I had a house full of people over and this fight was one of the ones they came to see. As I remember it, Vaulin was busting Morrison up pretty good up til the point where this video starts. Think Morrison went on to get busted up again by Mercer after this.

scared? Vaulin gave Tommy a fight. If you can ever see the whole bout, Vaulin damn near floors Morrison in round 3 with a left - right that made my head hurt watching it.
90% of Morrison's wins were he just out bombed his opponents. Vaulin couldn't keep him at bay.

Asshole Smoger should've stopped the fight for turning his back the first time.

It's funny that both these guys would go on to fights in MMA. Although Morrison's MMA fights had rules rigged in his favor.
Vaulin did go the distance in his fight.

I remember seeing this fight live. It was on the undercard of Foreman vs. Holyfield.

That was really cool of Morrison not to kill Vaulin when he had his back turned and was holding his ribs. A lot of boxers wouldn't have been so considerate. Really good sportsmanship of Morrison's part.
