  • good video - very genuine. A note about uppercuts though; They can be thrown from any range. I often throw on my heavy 65 kg bag 1 inch uppercuts with enough force to lift it up. Same with hooks. Also you might want to move with the bag and not just stand there. That doesnt happen in a fight. Dont put too much force into your punches - you were a bit over keen. I appreciate you have a global audience but that is a unique opportunity to do it right...under pressure.

  • @PJ3love Not under pressure at all mate :-) With 1.6 million hits over three years you tend to take feedback with a pinch of salt. However, just a point to note, these videos were done three years ago, just after I had returned from Iraq after spending five years serving there. Point being, I hadn't boxed or been in a boxing gym for 6 years. Since then I have been training full time with professionals and amateurs. Things change...however, this video is for beginners and is perfect for that :-)

  • excuse me how do you fight a windmill fighter the ones that just swing would i go close and break there range or pick my shots for a distance

  • @sgtpeppers76 Really all depends on you and your willingness to fight. Here's two suggestions. I am sure each gym coaches something else...that's boxing baby!

Stand your ground and counter punch him hard to slow his aggression down. You have to be brave and you will get caught a bit whilst perfecting that but that's what sparring's for. If you are afraid to be punched, you need to work on learning to love it :-

Otherwise jab and move and keep picking your shots...maybe he will tire. FIGHT HIM!

  • @KingZaza36 \..then what?

When you have learned on the street...then what?

Being hard on the street means nothing in the ring.

I learned on many streets and fought hard. The art of boxing

ensured I had fast hands, my left hook knocked out at least

    50...maybe more.

I also spent time in prison and had a good long think about

those fights how crazy I was. Then what?

Stick to the gym ladies and gentlemen, its safer there and you

can get all your rage out and learn of all your fears. †

  • Best advice learn the move and implement them in a sparring environmnt

  • @Dennythetrainer why would you want to go to Iraq? Don't you realize it's offensive to the people there for you to be there?

  • um... denny, could you upload a video of yours which shows you fighting :)?

  • @unorthodoxboxersweet ty, i did abit of taekwondo, i dunno if i picked it up from there. i'll try and workout on both stances.

  • @MEJIAV1F3W I am ambidextrous, and I switch stances, switch hit. Its confusing, effective and throws of timing on others who stay orthodox or southpaw. It's better to have two hands than one hand.

  • is it bad to swap stances from orthodox to southpaw? every time i do a few right hooks or right uppercuts, i slip into southpaw without noticing.

  • a guy doing boxing moves in a fucking forest

doesn't get any more manly then this.

  • So nice

  • I kno your just training, but your guard was down! I learned to always jeep my hands up but your really good.

  • Denny! you're my hero man. This has helped me a ton! Great for motivation and confidence. Thanks
