  • Sorry I took so long to reply, been super busy and not on YouTube. I am by no means an expert on Norwich Terriers, let alone Norfolk Terriers which may behave differently with regards to your questions.

Why don't you go to yahoogroups and search for Norfolk Terrier lists and join. I am on several Norwich Terriers lists which has list members who have MANY years of experience with the breed & are better equipped to answer questions.

  • @ Izzie128 - I stripped their puppy coat off around 6 months, so I'd say by 9mths to a year the wire/harsh coat was in.

You must NOT cut/clipper them though, this will totally soften the hair (and lighten it) - and there will be NO coarse/harsh/wire hair

  • Is izzie she just a late bloomer?

  • Izzie is 15 months old and she only has wire hair on her back, and her groomer strips her only, but she said izzie has a really nice coat. Please watch my videos and comment!

  • Izzie (my norfolk terrier) is 15 months old and only has wire hair on her back and tail, her groomer (julie gleeson) said that she has a really nice coat, but we just moved from California to Tennessee and we don't know how to groom her!

  • I have a norfolk terrier, and we have been getting her groomed at Julie gleeson's ( I have a video of her getting groomed if you want to see it.) but izzie is 15 months old and only has wire hair on her back and her tail, but my norfolk terrier book says they usually get rough hair when their 3 years old so, I hope she gets it at that age! thanks!

  • cute!

  • How old were they when they got wire hair? please comment back, thanks!
