It's a woman. If something bad happened and Beatie wound up on the medical examiner's table, the doctor would examine the body and write down that it was a female. Gender identity is one thing, but if you don't have a Y-chromosome, you are a woman.

No, the brain is telling him he's a heterosexual man, not that he is male. Psychology has no bearing on biology. Sex and gender are two separate and distinct things in medical terminology.

I respect your response, but in my eyes, if you can conceive children, you are female. I know the mind is telling him he's a male, and the gender identity does not align with the sexual organs. He was in limbo at the time, and actually had the child because his wife is infertile, which is actually quite noble, but if you conceive, even in the transition process, you still are producing eggs and have functioning ovaries. Even men with Klinefelter's syndrome do not have those traits.
