@MrRJMGREEN Were you present around the time of the alleged abuse? So how can you say what you're saying with such certainty? There are two sides to every story. I think her "fun" about Christina supporting herself kind of makes sense, seeing that Christina was nearly 30 by this time and should have been supporting herself anyway. And so what that Joan is drunk in this clip? She seems pretty charming to me.

Christina Crawford clearly says in Mommie Dearest that Joan's last public appearances were drunken disasters. This just gives more credit to Dear Christina. Joan Crawford was a drunken, mean, control freak. She seems to have a little too much fun when she states that Christina supports herself. Yes, Christina told us all about the neglect, the forgotten checks, and the pitiful allowance. This is upsetting.

Gosh I would love to have met her and just gushed how much I love her!! To this day there is not one star who loved being a movie star so much and truly loved and appreciated her fans!
