Punish the businesses that hire illegals, and ship the illegals back and have them apply for citizenship at the US embassy. So straightforward and a common sense approach, it might not be as profitable for some but it benefits the stability of society in so many ways.

I'm fluent in Spanish and spent 10 years driving around Mexico. I work with latinos daily. It would be very easy to exclude the majority of Hispanic men by just requiring proficiency in English. Most of them get pissed off if you suggest that they learn English. Sure, require a proficiency test.
