Watching Kent Hovind make an idiot of himself is one of my favourite pastimes.

Fortunately he is such an unbelievable dumbass that I'm never disappointed.

Check out the latest hilarity from Eric Hovind, (son of Kent Hovind), right here on Creation Science Evangelism's very own Youtube channel:

  • Every anti-Hovind site I see has the same theme...what are ya all afraid of?

  • @Smurf431 That's like me saying you're a Christian because you're afraid of dying, or Christians don't like faggots because they are homophobic.

Bullshit on all counts. You can disagree with or make fun of shit when you don't afraid of anything.

  • Explain to me how Hydrogen and Helium Fused to make the other elements when scientificly it is impossible.

  • I tracked down that Hovind quote which I was a little surprised at, because the last I heard his claim was, "you can't fuse past iron", (meaning he at some point learned that the first 26 elements are fused within stars, and has since been forced to concede that it is not "scientifically impossible" at all).

So before we get to the answer, explain to me whether Hovind was incorrect then, or is incorrect now.

  • I dont think you are understanding chemistry , Kent is right when he siad you cant fuse past iron, since it takes more energy to create an element heavier then it realeses, any chemicla past iron would be unstable, meaning to say the where did the other elements come from if a fusion of elements could only create up to Iron. So both of his comments are accurate, you just precieved them wrong

  • @Drewjson So I also "perceived" your above comment wrong? The one that says fusing Hydrogen and Helium is "scientifically impossible"?

Strange that you and Kent Hovind said the same thing, in pretty much the same way, that could be misconstrued in precisely the same manner. I wish you'd both be less careless in your language lest someone accuse you or retconning your own arguments when they are pwnt.

You'd think Kent Hovind "PhD" would at least make accurate statements in relation to science.

  • But even assuming that's what you originally meant, you're still incorrect.

I suggest you improve your own "understanding of chemistry" starting with the term, "stable element". You'll find there are a great many stable elements above Fe, one of the hardest to ignore being Ni-62. Hell, common sense should tell you that Gold(197) isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

What you suggest is like saying it's "scientifically impossible" to have an endothermic reaction because it requires external heat.

  • @Drewjson

Actually, iron is the threshold whereby a fusion reaction emits more energy than it takes. after iron it just takes more energy to fuse 2 nuclei than the reaction produces. Im pretty sure a star in supernova has enough energy to manage it. considering scientists have fused nuclei together to produce isotopes heavier than iron I'd say that maybe you and mr.hovind have misunderstood the physics.

  • @Drewjson When has an atheist ever said that he or she believes in nothing?? Just because we don't believe in a God does not mean that we believe in nothing.

  • Is this just a video of ad hominems?
