I wish they would leave out the words "Boot Camp". This leads people on that these are a military structured surrounding. These are by NO stretch of the imagination "Boot Camps". These idiotic CLOWNS are sadistic, power tripping, oddballs who wear Smokey Bears and yell and think, think mind you, that they are Drill Instructors. These are troubled teens not Parris Island "Prives". And as a former SDI, I can tell you that neither I or any of my juniors EVER struck a private. Shut em down!!!

This sort of institution is the worst thing that can be done to kids.

Boot camp is only a name. The teaching that children received in these kind of programs is the last resort they have. Their families are crying out for help and this is the only hope they have left for these young kids. The other solution will be DO NOTHING as many suggested in this outlet. If there is anything better out there please post it, so we all can direct people in need to the solutions you are suggesting in here. It is very easy to be a critic of BOOT CAMP. Get a solution and post it.

Those who support being "tough on crime" are also supporting the American Police State. Its important to remember that the US has the HIGHEST incarceration rate in the world today. Our Govt locks up more of its own people Russia, or even China! Are there too many messed up people in this country? Or maybe too many messed up laws instead which go against our own personal freedoms. I support being "REASONABLE on crime" because I dont want to live in a prison state like we are currently.

They NEVER tell these kids "how well they're doing." Lmao! They constantly treat you as if your a subhuman piece of shit from start to finish. They routinely beat the shit out of kids who dont comply regardless of their age or size. Kids have been put in the hospital and even KILLED by these "Detention Officers," many of whom deserve to be in "boot camp" themselves for bad attitudes.

this isnt right and dat guy supporting bootcamps is wrong and he knows it. how can u say such a thing when he knows wat have been going on in those bootcamps, he knows that kids are being abused and yet he sits his ass there and can still say something good about it, unbelieveable. and like the other guy suggested there are boarding schools and other places to take trouble teens but "bootcamps" are not the solution i can tell u dat.

caracter, honour, these are misnowmers for blind obedience, do as I say not as I do. Boot camps are away for society to brain wash kids that dont act the way adults want them to act. the job of boot camp is to break kids will and then try to rebuild them into GOOD members of society(as moral upright members of society's sheep incapable of thinking for themselfs) they will join the milatary when told to do so, because thats what they learn at boot camp
