What are you hoping to accomplish with YOUR 2011? In keeping with the Life is a Verb theme, Mordant presents a vlog in three steps about how we might better exercise our New Year's resolutions:
(1) Choose Your Target (set your goal)
(2) Pick Your Baby Steps & Let Fly
(3) Guide As You Go (aim).

  • I want to get the escape wheel lathed for the pocket watch I bought in the summer. It's the only part that needs repair for the watch to work; but I need to meet up with a man who has the equipment. His two friends who sold me the watch told me to give him a call...but I'm nervous talking to strangers.

My boyfriend and I are having a race to encourage each other to lose weight: We're going to see who can lose 20 pounds before the other.I'm 140lb so my goal is 120; he is 197, so his goal is 177

  • @blueflowerchild How'd things go with the watch guy? Move forward with that yet? Inquiring minds (mine) want to know.

  • Q: How would you go about prioritizing your goals for the new year? Say you have many resolutions but are unsure which "target" to set your sights on first. Kindof unsure on which "target" is most important right now, or which target would be the easiest to accomplish first. And not just for new year's resolutions, but in the rest of your life, how do you choose one "target" and get motivated enough to stick to it? Thank you for your vlogs. I look forward to watching more. *Perplexed in NC

  • @thegr8danemom Two questions.... Which is the one that excites you the most? Which are you avoiding/scare you/make you angry to think about? Pay attention to those. Basically which elicit the biggest emotional response from you? Your body's trying to tell you something - listen to it. =)

  • @MordantWorld I feel privlaged that you responded to my Q. You're such a celebrity in my house! I definatly will take your response to heart. I especially enjoyed your vlog #181. All my life I've told ppl I cant wait til I'm 25 because whatever I've suceeded at when I was younger, ppl tended to judge me because of how young I was. Well I turned 25 TODAY. And your "food" for thaught came at the perfect time. I feel this year will be MY year to take charge again. Your words are a constant help. TY

  • @thegr8danemom Thank you again...you're very welcome...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  • @MordantWorld Wouldn't you know, I called and left a message but haven't heard a reply. I may have to hound a little to see if I can't make contact. If I can't reach him, I'll find another way; the watch wants to work, I'll help it work. c: I kind of feel like I've done heart surgery and brought it back to life when I hear it tick a little <3

  • @zombie4us84 Thanx mucho - had a great New Year's. I'm all about getting healthier - especially as we get older. I was too skinny & began carrying a paunch by the time I'd hit 30...been into working out ever since. Only took me a little while to realize I could affect the way I looked with very little effort. This translated (in my brain) to me being able to affect other things in my life. Carpe Vive, Baby! Seize Your Life (roughly translated - I apologize to all you Latin readers. =P

  • I am hoping to accomplish in losing weight (hopefully to 140-150 lbs), gaining back my amazing stamina that I had when I was in my early 20's, take up belly-dancing, and just having fun with life as a skinnier, healthier me!

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve and may 2011 be a great year for you like 2010!!
