Here's my second sweep video in my series. I apologize for taking longer than expected, but the good thing is you got more time to practice right :)?

In this video, I take all of our sweeps shapes and apply them in single positions. This is challenging because you can't rely on a single inversion to play. It will better help you see the locations and connections between the chords. You can use these concepts with other songs and your own songs as well.

  • I'm a beginner at sweeping, and when I try to sweep it doesn't seem very clear and has some ringing noises to it on the bottom 2 strings, do you know what my problem might be? Btw, that solo you made sounds badass.

  • @ghrocker99661 One trick to getting your bottom strings muted is to use the palm of your picking hand. Make sure you start slow to get the muting down, then gradually build speed. Thanks!

  • =O thank you chuck, for taking my playing to a new level. xD

  • @mikester966 no problem, i'm happy to help!

  • I really enjoy these, they help a lot, even though I suck at sweeps, ha. And if that's a Katana in the background, you're my hero.

  • @YngvaiGilbert sweeping takes a lot of practice, and I'm glad the vids are helping. That's a decorative katana in the background

  • kinda look like joel o keefe from airbourne :)

  • This lesson was great! It was easy to understand and right to the point. Really helps with the neck-charts. Good work, Chuck!

  • @fhatsk8er Thanks man, I'll try that. Also how do you know what shape to use when your trying to make a sweeping solo? Does it matter?

  • awesome lesson!

  • @KerSkater thanks! I had to work on them as well prior to doing this video, they're certainly tricky. I know you'll get em though
