now we are walking from Laggan to Fort Augustus. On the way we see Loch Oich, and old railway bridge on the disused line, a ruin, and finally land at the locks at Fort Augustus. There was a lovely tea shop on the way with a nice golden retriever who wanted to make friends with Corrie. The shop, which was at Aberchalder made your snack to order so it was nice and fresh.
One of my favourite parts of the walk, along the old railway track. it was a nice sunny day when i was there , dipped my toes in the loch by the old cottage. Had a lovely cream tea at the "tea garden" at Aberchalder.

These remains (like the disused railway bridge and the old house) have a melancholy but suggestive aura around them. And the Loch and the village are very nice...
