I think if the government would get the hell out of the way we would all be commuting on or in atvs and cycles. It is the safety regs and do gooder gov. leaches that stifle inventiveness. and innovation. So i cant spell get over it

I think the guy has the right American Spirit. If The Former Big 3 hadn't be compromised by the Big Oil and Gas companies this discussion would be academic.

Well I will stick with my $900 110cc moped at 105 mpg. Had for a year now and it paid itself off in gas savings 3 months ago.
That doesn't take away from what this man has done with his time though by any means. I admire him and everything is always high when first in production. Prices decrease as sales increase. Almost every single prototype or close to it is extremely expensive.

Yeah...Start mass producing EV's and watch the prices of materials used to make batteries soar. Then everyone will be b*tching about "big battery" and pollution from mining...

I have already seen prices on EV's come down, quality go up. Battery life massively extended since the beginning. That is the way it works with any technology and with overall pricing.
I have been watching the evolution of EV's. It is working just like everything else.
About 6-7 years ago a plasma TV was $15,000. There are many examples but anyway, it doesn't matter, this is a good thing regardless. We need to be inovative. Oh, we paid $25000 for our gas guzzler and that was a cheap price.
