This is where we answer your questions to help you grow better carnivorous plants. A grower wants to know if low humidity will "burn" developing pitchers on an Asian pitcher plant, Nepenthes,. Humidity is only a small factor. Two other factors are actually more important than humidity.

  • Either its the vid or my sound seems to be jacked up. I can hear the music in the beggining and then there is no sound.

  • I tried it out, and it seems to be fine on my computer. It could be that your sound system is in mono, and it's picking up only one track. I've also uploaded this video in iTunes in m4v format. Give that format a try if you're still having trouble.

Anyone else having this issue? Just let me know.

  • Good to know shooter. Beginner here. I bought the hybrid Judith Finn in hesitation.

As these types of plants are new to me, these videos are a wonderful asset to the beginner in mind

  • To ColdTearspSP, Lots of light w/ a small to moderate amount of humidity, and your plant will produce beautiful pitchers.

  • what causes deformed pitchers???

  • I like the Nepenthes Deroose Alata better!!!

  • N. Sibuyanensis is from the Philipines. It's one of the few Nepenthes that almost completely lack upper pitchers. It's also one of my favorites and probably the next one I'm going to buy.
