they are talking to each other, that's the noise. ever since i moved to san francisco in 1989 i've not been able to buy cobia anywhere, and it is my favorite fish. when i lived in florida i used to buy it every week, cook it as if it was marinated shrimp, and i had a feast with it. there is no other fish so tasty except maybe a young barracuda broiled. Can anyone tell me if I can buy cobia meat online or somewhere in california?

About 10 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico from Dog Island Florida in the Panhandle. Rough coordinates are: N29 40  W84 32 This was over some natural bottom in about 60' of water with no surface structure around.

I have no idea and had the same question. It could have been my hand squeaking on the acrylic camera housing and just sounding weird on the inside. It definitely didn't come from the fish. My buddies accused me of farting in my wetsuit! :-)
