@cmagennis927 Ahhhdear! Rusty after 5 years? good ol ford ;) really? 115K is nothing! i have a 2006 focus tdci with the same 1.8 8valve block, thats nearing 130k and good as new! Hey, not to forget my works old mondeo, over 400K on this engine!

@stuntcrazy8 Yeap its been scrapped for near 2 years now lol.. The car wasn't worth fixing so it was written off, a new engine was probably the only way to sort it but the gearbox was on the way out too as was the clutch, plus the arches were starting to heavily rust after 5years.. It did have 115,000 Miles afterall

@cmagennis927 sent to the scrappy?!?!?! new engine would have sorted it!

@camboy1988 agreed
Sound like a possible water pump fault?

@maldon3three I didnt have the car another winter so cant be sure, but a new battery and charging the plugs a few times when it was cold seemed to do the trick.

@kml650 Hey, I haven't got the car any more, but if you do the dashboard diagnostic test I did you can work out if a new battery would help. Mine ended up fine after a new battery and glow plugs, but I still charged the glow plugs twice for good measure.
