The Joe Perry Project was essentially Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's solo project, which Perry started working on shortly before his departure from Aerosmith in 1979.
The original band line-up consisted of Perry, singer Ralph Morman, bassist David Hull and drummer Ronnie Stewart. This line-up recorded The Project's 1980 debut album, Let the Music Do the Talking, which was produced by long-time Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas.

  • @aerofan0627 Strong call on Combination. Joe's best song ever.

  • @homeydontlie Well his grammar is better than yours so he has that goin' for him. And it's funny that he writes half of Aerosmiths songs. And on Toys In The Attic they used a bassist, that's it. And that was because Tom was having health issues at the time. Look up the song Combination, Perry wrote that, show me another band that can write somethin' like that. Exactly. Don't bother commenting back 'cause I won't waste anymore time on someone like you. Get your facts straight first "homey"

  • @homeydontlie you're a dumbass! do us a favor and go away! he doesn't need songwritters and session musicians

  • @taypax oh really!? haha i just saw aerosmith in september and Joe pulled his belt out and beat his plexiglass guitar! =D

  • @aerorocker1001 i was lucky enough to see Joe in 2005 at a small club in Boston...amazing experience

  • @taypax i think i might have heard the title track once or twice back when lala was up. i just got his 2005 album on my ipod

  • @aerorocker1001 yup, So Station Blues and the title track are 2 of the best JPP tracks

  • @taypax yeye i dont have I've got the rock & rolls again, does it have South Station Blues on it? that song is one of my favorites! I like rockin train on this album :) its got Joe's groove in it =P

  • @aerorocker1001 it's a great record...I've Got the Rock & Rolls Again is even better...the 3rd one with Mach Bell? not so much

  • @taypax Now you are right! Columbia didn't think it would do well even if they did promote it so they just didn't bother! The only reason I have this album...is cause I'm an epic fan of Aerosmith, so imma gonna get a joe perry album =) plus.....its kind cool on vinyl!
