Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Diesel Gala, Saturday 6th June 2009

a great day at the KWVR's Annual diesel gala, this is the first 1 i have been to and i'm definately going to next years! this years gala had some troubles right until the day before the gala, guest locos being made unavliable for Example Class 31 31466 from the Dean Forest and a pair of DRS Locos and the quick thinking of loco organisers had to rush around finding appropiate guests, one of which arranged on the day it arrived!, locos in use on this day were:

| BR Class 20 'Chopper' 20031 (resident on the KWVR)
| BR Class 25 'Rat' 25059 (resident on the KWVR)
| BR Class 33 'Crompton' 33109 (from the East Lancashire Railway)
| BR Class 37 'Tractor' 37025 'Inverness TMD' (from the Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway
| BR Class 37 'Tractor' 37682 (From DRS)
| BR Class 47 'Spoon' 47634 (From the Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway'
| BR Class 55 'Deltic' 55022 'Royal Scots Grey' (From the East Lancs Railway)
| BR Class 57 'Bodysnatcher' 57007 (from DRS)
(also in action were the lines DMU and Railbus, on shuttles between ingrow west and Keighley)

due to all the fun that was going on i didn't keep track of what trains i rode on, but during my visit i met with Zontar! A few other youtubers who i forgot their names (fi you watch this can you tell me thanks), and Numpty. and also i rode on every loco in action, including a unqiue triple header between oxenhope and haworth loop, with 57007, 20031 and 55022.

such a great gala, i really recomend going!

Was a great day yesterday. Was there on Friday as well, mainly doing tractors, but yesterday for me it was all about the small sulzers. God, I love those things. Both days rounded off with deltic action though. Good to see so many very young bashers coming through!

thanks for the comment, the tractors did sound good, he could hear them setting off from the passing loop near damems while we were stood at haworth! was a fantastic day i'm definately going to the next, cheers

Nice mate. Liked the 3rd shot when the 37s thrashed into arrival, when you bashed 22 through the tunnel and the end shot fo the BR Blue 37 departing Keighley. The 47 in Scot Rail Intercity looks nice. 5*s
