Ubuntu on G1

I just managed to compile a very FAST and SMALL version of ubuntu 8.10 to load natively into the AMAZING G1 phone, right now I am pre-compiling a couple of usefull apps and finding a way to load them using the SDCARD basically as a hard disk so programs can run from SDCARD instead of memory, I also embeded the NICE and UNIQUE authentication pattern using slide finger as you can see on the video, and the DESKTOP is coming up, I'm trying to get rid of a recent error activity maybe with this new CUPCAKE VERSION.

Sorry the big delay!

I had the same problem and believe me when I say "There is no known way to do this!", I screwed up my 8GB Micro SD card and try every tips on linux and windows and nothing worked, the best scenario was using it as a key chane for my car's keys, even the data can not be deleted so I will have those videos and pictures for ever.

Thanks for you question, of couse it supports touch screen, in this case the click and double click correspond to the tap and double quick tab and a long press for right clink, unfortunately the multi-touch feature even is embeded on the hardware such capability its only functional using the google API and as this is a real core in order for it to work a driver app and a client software should be integrated for this to work

You're 100% right. This is not ubuntu on a G1, its a themed version of Android. Hence the FC.
