  • Marvelous to hear these recordings!

  • @coolitababy I agree, its a pity the BBC wiped it, but at least the audio has survived !!

  • @MrTelevisionradio Not wanting to sound greedy, but are you going to post any more, or is this all you have?

  • @coolitababy I have the 1964 xmas special, but unfortunately there are no dj links to it, as it was edited out at that time. There is no point of me uploading it, because it's just all music !!!!

  • @MrTelevisionradio It's the music I'm interested in and I'm sure that goes for many others, please post it!!!!!

  • following on from my last comment. . As you can hear Jimmy got Mickey to sign my painting which was a weird kind of flower shaped signature. anyway I only saw it the once when the programme was broadcast. .and I gave up years ago asking the BBC for a copy. .obviously they had wiped the tape. And yesterday I discovered this recording here on youtube. Now I've not heard or seen this for 43 years, and I'm so happy and so very sad at the same time, for Jimmy has just died a few days ago RIP JIMMY

  • Hello everyone. . . You might think this a little bizzare, but the young lad that Jimmy visited at Bristol Childrens Hospital was me. . Stephen Bond. . . .Jimmy sat by my bedside and talked to me for a while, he asked me what I liked doing the most whilst I was in there, and I said I liked to draw and paint, , ,that was when he asked me to paint a picture for him. The Nurses sent it off to him, and a few weeks later Jimmy held it up for all to see on Top Of The Pops.

  • Oh, the joy of reel to reel and recording from a valve / transistor radio. Until dad walks in and clutters about. Parents, eh ?

  • Also, where's October 1966 gone?
