I'm in the process of building a generator to suit the "Steve's Elliptical Blade" turbine. This video describes the data collection process using a test coil.
@samdekok72 Thanks, but what I didn't point out is that I put a 0.8 m^2 turbine on parts that were designed for a 0.4 m^2 turbine. The tower flexes, the central rod flexes and I fear the generator will be too weak; so I think it is time to shrink it down a bit.
@DominickBlack I've got a 12 V battery that I charge with solar and wind. I have a savonius type windmill that I used for a number of months. It has a smaller diameter and spins a bit faster. This one should put out more power but at a slower speed so I'll need more turns of a larger diameter wire. The generator will have 16 magnets per disk (2 disks) and 12 coils (4 coils per phase).

Are you looking to charge batteries or are you gonna try and feed the grid?

@DominickBlack I don't know yet. I'm just hoping to be able to predict the voltage that I got from theory.

What voltage are you aiming for?
