@midwestwhips Russell Schultz? I thought Ben only used Simon Martin's whips? Russell's are pretty good though... my mate Colin over here on the Sunny Coast has some of his.
I use Mick's Whips... been using his whips for near 20 years... and I'm only 24 myself :P

Why is'nt this guy on Australias got talent? The tricks he can do are amazing. He would win for sure.

@Thehanabul Ben is currently touring with "the horseman from snowy river" show in Australia for the next 12 months. His fellow Australian whipcracking champion Chris Beck has been on Australia's got talent and did an amazing job and made it through a few rounds. Videos of Chris Beck on AGT can be found on youtube.

cool ..is it true that the crack is caused by the tip breaking the sound barrier, and making a sonic boom?

Yes, that is correct. There is a nice video on youtube from the Discovery Channel show "Time Warp", where they used special cameras to slow the video down enough that you could actually "see" the sonic boom!
