Band in Japan formed by Air Force guys which later me and my brother joined. Pics are from Expo '70 Osaka, backstage with other performers like Alan Merrill & Rockpile and The D'Swooners. Rehearsing at the collegiate club at Tachikawa Air Base and band portraits of one of the versions of the band with Carl on drums. This was one of the bands to open for the Gary Lewis & The Playboys concert in '69 in Tachi. Song titled "Belgiumtown Road" was written by bassist Bob and recorded much later by Maelstrom in Atlanta.

  • this is too fucking kool! a site for tachikawa brats. I did 5th grade in 68. heavy duty year at dads hospital mess hall. he never came back to the states and died there 4 years ago. Good for him!Im sorry I did, but I get my daily pints as a celtic busker in Columbus,if your a REEL type of musician look me up in Columbus and we'll jam...

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • This is cool! I used to live on Tachi AB as an AF brat... :-)

  • I went to Yamato High School from '65-'68 and played in a band until coming back to the world in '71. Thanks for your comment!

  • You're a little bit older than I then.

I was born in 62 but have been here since.

Actually, i still live in Tokyo, in Higashi Kurume, near CAJ

I used to live out in American Village in Tachikawa and frequented Yamato and the train station, Tamagawa-josui when I was a kid. If you haven't been back, the place has changed quite a bit. There's a monorail that goes from Shinome-kaido thru Tamagawa josui thru Tachikawa station, all the way to the Tama zoo and beyond into Sagamihara area now...

  • ahh the memories, unfortunately I've never been back to Japan...thanks again!
