  • @colliecandle Rhein Maas Schifffahrtskontor ... now depending to Rhenus.

  • The ship was originally named Zeus. In July 1999, she was renamed RMS Mülheim and placed under the management of Rhein-Maas-und See Schiffahrtskontor (RMS). On investigation, it was discovered that the chief officer—who had been on watch at the time—had caught his trousers in the lever of his chair when trying to get up, causing him to fall and rendering him unconscious. By the time he regained consciousness, RMS Mülheim was already bearing down on the shoreline

  • i saw this last week and only the front (i think i couldnt tell) is there :O

    its covered with rust!

  • I think that should be MV [Motor Vessel] and not RMS [royal mail Ship]

  • This is a similar story to the Mary Celeste.

She was found a-floatin with all crew vanished.

No-one to this day knows what a-happened to the crew & captain......the strangest of things can a-happen in Cornwall.

    Not really!

She detonated a submerged, unexploded World War II mine.

No lives were lost but sadly, most of the cargo of 36,000 tons of smoked kippers were lost through the blast hole.

Local "wreckers" can be seen in the video hoisting bags of kippers a-shore to sell on the black market.
