From the March 2009 issue of CTR.... "Dance pads in front of TV sets are nothing new. But one designed for preschoolers, with a baseball bat-sized joystick is, if nothing else, innovative. Coming this summer from Leapfrog, this battery (4 C) operated vinyl pad is designed to get kids hopping, marching and balancing along with three cartridge-based playhouse Disney characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Handy Manny.
The games are designed to encourage lower body coordination, and interacting with the TV rather than just watching it. Signals are sent to a battery or AC adapter powered infrared receiver, similar to LeapFrog's ClickStart system, only with better quality graphics and TV-like sound. Each game features two levels of play. Additional cartridges cost $25 each and will be inspired from upcoming Disney films such as Cars and Pixie Hollow. Coming Summer 2009 from Leapfrog.com.

  • Which is better Leapfrog's Zippity High Energy or Smart Fit Park from Fisher Price?

  • Seriously? My dad sold MY xbox (a birthday gift, very special) so my sister could get this piece of plastic (a "just because" buy). Now I have no xbox and I have to listen to this all day. We have one tv. I only played xbox for 1 hour a day, and every day a week. She plays this thing whenever she isn't eating or sleeping or on the toilet. I never watch tv anymore because of this!!! Curse you!!! Do not buy this if you like silence once in a while, or watch tv!!!

  • awesome, my daughter loves this game and her learning has progressed dramatically!!

  • My daughter has this and loves it!! She loves jumping around and learning at the same time.

  • How old do they need to be to use this game?
