Recent research in the UK states no products should be used on baby's skin until they are atleast 4 weeks old. This includes any bath products, nappy creams or moisturisers as they can cause problems such as eczema in the future. Just water should be used to bathe in and ask your midwife what they reccomend if your baby develops cradlecap or rashes on the skin. Using moisturisers makes the skin rely on them and become very dry if they are not used as they break the natural barriers on the skin.

I'm not a fan in the least of those types of baths. bathing my son was always very hard and uncomfortable with it. I guess I will just have to pay a little more for a nice squishy bath set.
