  • Hi SamiCanine, Yes, most of the connections on top of the water heater are dielectric nipples that are kind of hard to grab with pliers. What type of water heater do you have?

    Hello. I agree that the installation might not meet most codes. However, the installation does meet codes where it is installed.

    The shutoff valve allows for switching out the appliance if needed. The T&P and ECO will protect from pressure buildup.

    Seismic bracing is not required in this area.

    T&P is piped to open drain.
