When Nat got upstairs, he sat on his bed and pulled out his cell phone. He called Allies number and waited. She answered.
A: Hey, Nat!
N: Hey, Allie
A: Whats up?
N: Alex is mad at me for yelling at him
A: Dont worry, apologize to him and hell get over it.
N: Ive tried but hes still mad at me, I wish you were here.
A: Sorry, I have to clean my room and Im grounded for sneaking out the house so
N: Its okay, see you.
A: See you. [They hang up]
Meanwhile, Alex was sitting on his bed in his room and Polly came in.
P: Alex, are you okay?
AW: Yeah
P: Are you sure?
AW: No!
P: Whats wrong? [Sits next to him]
AW: I had a fight with Nat!
P: What about?
AW: He yelled at me!
P: Why?
AW: Because I was bugging him and Allie.
P: Why?
AW: Its justhe never has time for me anymore, hes always with Allie!
P: So, youre jealous?
AW: Im not jealous!
P: Are you sure?
AW: Okay, maybe I am a bit jealous
P: So, why dont you tell him that? Im sure hell understand.
AW: No, he likes Allie better than me! [Leaves]
P: [Follows him] Where are you going?
AW: A place where I can think! [Leaves]
N: [Walks up to Polly] wheres Alex?
P: He says hes going to a place where he can think.
N: And wheres that?
P: I dont know
Allie was coming up to Nat and Alexs house; she pasted Alex walking out the door.
A: Hey, Alex! Where are you going?
AW: Somewhere to think!
A: Okay. [Goes in]
N: Hey, Allie
A: Hey, Nat! Whats with Alex?
N: Hes mad at me still.
P: Nat, I think you should go find him.
N: Why me?
P: Because Alex told me that hes upset because you never have time for him anymore and youre always with Allie.
N: What?! Thats not true!
P: Are you sure?
N: Okay, maybe I dont spend as much time with him as I used to
P: Go find him, Nat.
N: Okay, Mom. Allie, do you want to come?
A: Nat, I dont think thats such a good idea. Because you being with me all the time
N: Oh, yeah. I understand. Well, see you.
A: See you.
P: Bye.
Nat goes to look for Alex. He looks all over the town but still cant find him. He starts to get a little tired so he goes to the shop, buys a drink and goes to the park. He sits on the bench and stares into space while taking in everything thats happened recently. Him and Allie doing what they did, him and Alex falling outsuddenlyit hits himhe figures out where Alex is! The only place he hadnt looked! He rushed across the park and sees Alex sitting up in a tree. Nat climbs up into the tree and sits next to him.
N: Hi
AW: You told me to leave you along and thats what Im trying to do.
N: I know, I didnt mean it.
AW: Yes you did!
N: I know youre jealous of Allie, Alex.
AW: I am not!
N: Really?
AW: Okay, maybe I am a little bit
N: Listen, Im sorry Im not with you anymore, I really am! You should tell me how you feel next time.
AW: I know, Im sorry.
N: No, Im the one who should be sorry!
AW: Its okay.
N: Are you going to come home now?
AW: Can we just hang out for a bittogether?
N: Sure!
