You are so right and I totally agree. I grew up on this music and it never grows old! This is still a beautiful song, of teen love. Has real meaning even though its a sad song. Mark had a great talent!

I lived 2 houses from a railroad track when I was 12 in 1959 when this was released (became a hit in Feb. 1960). The first tragedy song I'd ever heard, I'd hear this on the radio and end up sobbing from it all. I'd ride my bike over the train tracks and think of the Teen Angel. Emotive? You bet!

I think i'm the only 12 year old out there that actually enjoys this song... it's very beautiful, I cried the first time I heard it when I was 9. I came back to the video because it's an amazing song!

Greek? And you have trouble with tragedies? LOL... learn your own cultural heritage, you fool. It's riddled with literary tragedies. Hello? Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides? Jesus. I'm glad to see stupidity isn't confined to America.

I remember an early hippie band doing this song with an organ instead of guitar. It was in Oregon. Cool song.
